Seasonality - A Philosophy
At Orion Futures Group, Inc. we believe that all commodity futures markets are affected to some extent by an annual seasonal cycle. This seasonal cycle or pattern refers to the tendency of markets to move in a given direction at certain times of the year. The most obvious seasonals involve the grain markets, where seasonal lows usually occur around harvest time when the supply is most plentiful.
Although the reasons for seasonal tops and bottoms are more obvious in the agricultural markets, virtually all markets experience seasonal patterns. We have certain trades that we have identified as historically "high-percentage" seasonal trades. These were selected by using state of the art computer programs, experienced traders, and what we believe to be the most advanced software in the industry today.
Seasonal listings do not constitute buy and/or sell recommendations; rather, seasonal tendencies should be used as an additional tool for traders to consider.
Each month we offer a FREE newsletter, which includes our top seasonal trading recommendations. Please request your FREE SAMPLE copy.
Seasonal trading has certain inherent limitations.
No representation is being made that any customer of Orion
Futures Group has achieved profits using seasonal trading. The market has often
already allowed for seasonal changes even if a seasonal tendency occurs.
FUNDAMENTAL FACTORS, SEASONAL AND WEATHER TRENDS, AND CURRENT EVENTS MAY HAVE ALREADY BEEN FACTORED INTO THE MARKETS.
There is a risk of loss when trading futures. Futures and Options trading is not suitable for all investors.
